Bitterroot businesses awarded state grants - Yourganic Farm - Trapper Creek Winery - BVS

The Montana Agriculture Development Council recently awarded more than $47,000 to local valley businesses.
The grants are awarded on behalf of the MADC Growth Through Agriculture Program, a program that allots grants and loans for Montana agricultural development, in support of innovative ideas that enhance the state’s agriculture industry.
Yourganic Farm http://www.homegrownmontana.org/yourganics.html in Hamilton was awarded $6,550 for equipment, supplies and materials for the expansion of the farm’s hog operation.
Hamilton’s Trapper Creek Winery http://www.trappercreekwinery.com/ is the recipient of $21,572 awarded for use in advertising, promotion, equipment and supplies for the company’s national sales expansion.
BVS http://www.bvs-inc.us/ , a Stevensville company that works in conjunction with the University of Montana studying the global crisis of honeybee colony collapse, received a $20,000 grant.
