Montana Chamber of Commerce Choices Wellness Intern to Help Small Business

Chelsea Bond, a graduate student at the University of Montana, will serve an internship with Montana Chamber Choices http://www.chamberchoices.com/ , the group health insurance program of the Montana Chamber of Commerce http://www.montanachamber.net/ws/home.php . Bond will work with Wellness Director Kirk Keller of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Montana https://www.bluecrossmontana.com to promote wellness benefits with the small business customers of the state chamber program .
The internship has already begun and will involve research into health promotion and maintenance (prevention) programs. Another component will be to interview small businesses for the suitability and utility of wellness (initiatives) programs. The final product will include recommendations for a template for small business wellness efforts. Montana's small business makeup creates obstacles for effective wellness programs.
