Montana high school students, teacher zero in on way to purify biofuel

Last year the Skyview Biofuels Project finished converting an old Mercedes to run on biodiesel. The year before, the group spent months perfecting the process of creating that fuel.
Since the start of the 2007-2008 school year, the group - made up of 20 Skyview students and chemistry teacher Fred Michels - has been working to find economic, eco-friendly ways to purify biodiesel to meet national standards for widespread production and commercial use.
Michels said he thinks they may have found an answer.
