2007/2008 University of Montana School of Business Administration “STARS” Announced!!!
| March 12, 2008 |
The University of Montana School of Business Administration is delighted to announce that our first annual SoBA STARS program has selected the Top Ten SoBA “STARS” for the 2007/2008 academic year. STARS stands for Students Taking an Active Role in Success and was designed to recognize the top ten students within SoBA each year.
STARS is a competitive process, based on application materials relating to academics, extra-curricular activities, and leadership. Junior, senior, and graduate business students are eligible to apply once they have completed SoBA lower-core course requirements.
Students selected will be recognized at the SoBA 61st Annual Donor Recognition and Scholarship Awards Banquet in May, as well as at a special reception hosted by the donor and originator of the program – Eli Lilly District Sales manager for the Osteoporosis Division, Tiffany Yaeger. Tiffany is a SoBA alumna who received her finance and management degree in 1993 and an MBA in 1995.
Tiffany is actively involved in recruiting at Lilly and proposed this type of program for SoBA, after hearing about similar programs at some other schools where Lilly recruits. Lilly will also provide a $1,000 cash award to the one student each year who is selected as the top student within the STARS program.
Congratulations to the 2007/2008 SoBA STARS:
