Ohio angel groups collaborate to make investing simpler, faster

In an effort to accelerate funding for entrepreneurs, seven groups of angel investors have formed the Ohio chapter of the Angel Capital Association http://angelcapitalassociation.org/.
The ACA is a national association of angel investor groups that supports the funding of early stage, high-potential ventures. The seven Ohio angel groups have agreed to share their due diligence information with each other, since the capital needed by a qualified venture is often more than one individual angel group can provide, according to a news release.
Though there has been sharing among angel groups in the past, this new statewide initiative will make the investing process simpler and faster, said Tony Shipley, chairman of Queen City Angels in Cincinnati. Queen City Angels is the oldest angel group in Ohio and a leader in this agreement.
