Hearing on Montana Alberta Tie Ltd. high-voltage power line study set for March 13 in Conrad
| March 5, 2008 |
Three public meetings are set for March 11-13 to give area landowners a chance to weigh in on the merits and the possible impacts of a proposed international high-voltage power line.
However, their counterparts in southern Alberta are planning to appeal a Canadian board's decision to give the Montana Alberta Tie Ltd. conditional approval to build the international merchant line there.
The MATL line would wheel electricity between Great Falls and Lethbridge, Alta., through Glacier, Pondera, Chouteau, Teton and Cascade counties.
