Montana issues new strategic tourism plan
| March 4, 2008 |
To remain competitive in the tourism industry over the next five years, Montana must improve coordination within its tourism sector and find sustainable ways to manage its natural resources.
That’s according to the state’s 2008-12 strategic tourism plan http://travelmontana.mt.gov/2008stra ... 02-6-07.pdf , released last week by Montana’s tourism office, Travel Montana.
The recommendations could bring a lot more tourism revenue to communities that see a lot of out-of-state visitors, including Bozeman, Livingston and West Yellowstone, said Victor Bjornberg, a tourism development coordinator for Travel Montana.
