SWING BY THIS SITE: A couple of bogey golfers and one pretty decent shooter on Monday are launching http://www.GolfingMyWay.com, a social network that offers insights about 18,000 courses, allows hackers to find other players and even may offer a little help on that slice.
The company was started by University of Oregon business students Scott Rasmussen, Jake Horton and John Robinson (the best golfer of the bunch), who came up with the idea two years ago after trying to find a service that met their needs. They raised $75,000 in angel financing and incorporated last spring.
