State Superintendent Linda McCulloch Seeks Outstanding Montana Educators for Talent Pool
| February 13, 2008 |
The Superintendent's Talent Pool is a list of K-12 Montana educators recommended to the Office of Public Instruction as outstanding teachers, who have demonstrated exceptional instructional ability, have an inspiring presence, and exhibit professional leadership. "From time to time we need educators to serve on committees, act as advisors or representatives, and for award nominations. If an opportunity arises that matches an educatorís talents, we will call on them to help," said Superintendent McCulloch. "Montana has the best educators in the country. This is an opportunity to help them get the recognition they deserve." The educators on the list may be considered for membership by OPI on advisory boards and task forces, as well as candidates for special recognition programs.
Nominations must be confidential and the person being nominated must not know they are being considered. Recommendations should be made using the Talent Pool Recommendation Form, which allows for on-line entry. Forms can also be printed and sent to Jackie Boyle, Superintendentís Office, Office of Public Instruction, PO Box 202501, Helena, MT 59620-2501 or faxed to 444-2893. The deadline for recommendations is May 16, 2008.
