The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation http://www.rmef.org/ completed the most successful year in its history in 2007.
The foundation improved elk habitat and completed land protection projects on 366,206 acres nationwide last year, a foundation spokesman said.
That included nearly 51,300 acres in Montana.
