Summary:
Under the direction of the Controller and Chief Financial Officer, perform, maintain, and/or supervise various accounting systems, processes and personnel within the Davidson Companies organization required to meet various management and regulatory financial reporting requirements.
Qualifications: (including specific Education and License requirements)
# CPA Designation, Series 27 License and/or Tax expertise preferred
# Proven leadership and managerial experience of 5 – 10 years
# Computer proficiency – Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
# Ability to manage assigned projects and see through to timely completion
# Strong technical research and resource management skills
Duties:
# Assist Controller in directing accounting activities performed by accounting and payroll department personnel.
# Responsible for maintaining multiple computerized accounting and record keeping systems.
# Oversee and approve the reconciliation of various bank accounts.
# Assist with the monthly preparation and analysis of financial statements and associated management reports.
# Assist with preparation and analysis of operating budgets and surveys.
# Communicate with regulatory agencies regarding regulatory issues or questions.
# Work with and coordinate external and internal audits.
# Perform monthly and quarterly calculations and payments for various Incentive Bonuses for Davidson Companies employees.
# Assist in selection of equipment and service vendors, including contract review and negotiations.
# Assist with the Company’s compliance with tax obligations (Federal, State, Sales, Use and Other).
