Hacker may have hit Montana investment firm, D. A. Davidson
| January 29, 2008 |
Davidson Companies http://www.davidsoncompanies.com/, an investment company formed in Great Falls in 1935, said that a computer operator using highly sophisticated methods may have illegally hacked into a database containing clients' personal information.
"The database was not connected to our operating systems, so trading accounts weren't tampered with," said spokesperson Jacquie Burchard.
So, the problem for clients is potential identity theft.
