Big Seven to discuss Lewistown, Montana area’s economic future
| January 21, 2008 |
Lewistown businesses have had a couple of good years, but there are those empty storefronts on Main Street. So is the community doing well, or is economic well-being just an illusion?
Bret Carpenter, new chairman of the Fergus County Port Authority, said his agency wants to know the answer. To get it, the Port Authority has called a meeting of the so-called “Big Seven” at 6 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 22, in the Yogo Inn’s Sapphire Rooms.
The “Big Seven” are the Port Authority, Fergus County, the city of Lewistown, HRDC, Snowy Mountain Development Corp., the Lewistown Area Chamber of Commerce and the Lewistown Municipal Airport Board.
