Oscar winner uses Wilsall, Montana as a place to get away from Hollywood

A sound job became a very sound job for a Wilsall resident.
Ron Judkins became so well-respected for his work with sound in the movies that he won two Oscars for his work in the blockbuster films “Jurassic Park” and “Saving Private Ryan.”
When Judkins graduated from film school in 1975, he wanted to direct movies, but to make ends meet, he picked up a sound job learning to use a boom and microphone to capture actors talking as well as realistic sounds.
