Restricted Share Private Equity Exchange Debuts
| January 10, 2008 |
The Private Equity Exchange (www.peqx.com) announced today the start of its online service for the resale of restricted shares. The PEQX is the first web based electronic auction for restricted shares. It will provide a new venue for family offices, venture capital, and angel investors to list and sell their private company holdings.
Prior to PEQX, it was difficult and time consuming to find S.E.C. Accredited Investors interested in purchasing previously issued restricted shares. Often, significant discounts were necessary to complete the transaction. PEQX.com remedies these liquidity issues by providing a pool of active, accredited investors at a web based venue. Once registered, PEQX accredited participants can describe their restricted shares, attach financials, company documents, and other details about the issued shares. Listing is free. The seller pays a fee once the transaction is complete.
