January 8, 2008View for printing

Leadership Montana http://www.leadershipmontana.org, a statewide collaboration of higher education, civic and business leaders, will hold the fourth of seven sessions January 10-12, 2008 in Helena. General program sessions will be held at Carroll College and the Great Northern Hotel Conference Center. Governor Brian Schweitzer will speak to the group on Thursday afternoon.

The class will join the Hometown Helena community leadership group on Friday morning and a special Friday luncheon discussion will include Justices of the Montana Supreme Court. The class will “job shadow” state, judicial and business leaders on Friday afternoon. On Saturday, the program will feature U.S. Attorney Bill Mercer and Rick and Susie Graetz.

Helena program sponsors include the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Montana, The Montana State Fund, The Helena Independent Record, PPL Montana, the Great Northern Town Center, the Great Northern Best Western and Qwest.

Leadership Montana, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is presenting a seven session program of leadership development and business and policy education, concluding with a graduation program in Billings on May 9, 2008. At the heart of Leadership Montana will be the concept of community trusteeship. Leaders hold the future of their communities, their state and their families in trust. The explorations of Montana communities throughout the program are designed to provide class members with information and perspective to help them be more effective leaders for the state and for their communities. Ultimately, Leadership Montana members accept this role as trustholders and will form an important bond, creating a powerful network of energy, talent and leadership for our state. The Leadership Montana class is comprised of 42-members from across Montana.
