One of the most difficult challenges in business is to innovate from within a large organization. With all the competition between the interests of its various departments and divisions it can be impossible for any idea to gain the support needed to succeed. Yet some companies seem able to overcome inertia and the drag of existing operations to produce and deploy new ideas that draw upon the cooperative capabilities of many parts of their organization.
