Starting Up is Harder to Do

Venture Summit West Seed investors Andy Bechtolsheim, Tim Draper, and Jeff Clavier say the cost of launching a startup is rising, despite reports to the contrary. Hardware prices, marketing efforts and Google-sized salaries are all pushing up the launch cost, which may account for the shrinking number of seed investors. The three spoke last week at Venture Summit West.
