Scam alert: Federal court letter to credit card holders looks like a scam but isn't

A letter from the U.S. District Court settlement administrator arriving in hundreds, if not thousands, of mailboxes throughout Idaho promises an easy refund if only you hand over personal information. In some cases, that personal information includes a bank account number.
Yes, it has all the signs of a potential scam. But a closer look could mean money in your pocket.
