The Bitterroot Composite Lumber Company of Montana is selling shares
| December 11, 2007 |
The Bitterroot Composite Lumber Company http://montanadex.com/index.html , a locally owned corporation, announced the sale of $500,000 in public stock last week.
BCLC will establish an extrusion plant in Darby that will combine wood fiber from small-diameter timber and wood waste with recycled plastic to make durable outdoor decking. The company will market its product regionally under the name Montanadex. Co-owners John Schneeberger and Corrine Gantt hope the plant will be up and running by November 2008.
“We think it’s a good investment,” Schneeberger said. “It is a start-up company, and start-up companies have a lot of risk, but we think we’ve gone the extra mile to mitigate the risk as much as we possibly can.”
A minimum investment of $2,000 will buy investors 6,000 shares at 33 cents apiece.
All who are interested in buying stock in BCLC and becoming part of the business can come to a presentation that will be held every Monday at the Carriage House in Hamilton located at 310 N. Fourth St. The presentations will begin Dec. 17, will take a two-week break for the holidays, and will resume Jan. 7.
