Access to trail systems is one of many reasons Livingston was named one of America’s 10 Best Outdoor Towns by MSN City Guides and featured in the book “101 Best Outdoor Towns: Unspoiled Places to Visit, Live & Play.”
When “101 Best Outdoor Towns: Unspoiled Places to Visit, Live & Play” by Sarah Tuff and Greg Melville was published by Countryman Press in May, Livingston had company from other Montana towns, such as Red Lodge. But in the authors’ whittled-down list of “America’s 10 Best Outdoor Towns,” published this week on the MSN City Guides Web site, Livingston stands alone as Montana’s outdoor gem.
