The innovations that emerge from Boston-area research institutions present an exciting new business opportunity to entrepreneurs. Luckily for those interested in startups, the traditional barriers between the laboratory and the entrepreneurial world have largely disappeared. Local researchers have shifted their focus from a purely academic perspective and opened their eyes to the commercial potentials of their laboratory work.
