Montana’s support of rural schools lags behind neighbors

Tim Tharp doesn’t have to read the paper to know who had a baby in Teton County.
The Dutton/Brady superintendent pays close attention, knowing the happy event for one family also is a fortunate one for the shrinking school district. The student population is the basis for the amount of money the district receives from the state.
