| November 14, 2007 |
The Montana Board of Nursing approved a distance learning program on Tuesday that Montana State University - Great Falls College of Technology officials say will help rural communities fill licensed practical nursing vacancies.
If the board of regents agrees when they meet Thursday, MSU - Great Falls will extend its LPN program to Choteau, Conrad, Havre and Fort Benton.
"This is an extremely important opportunity for people who live in Choteau and the surrounding community to step up to another level of health care job," said Ray Gibbons, administrator and CEO of Teton Medical Center. "This is a chance for us to invest in people who have chosen to live here."
