Bitterroot Resort would have big financial impact on Montana region
| November 12, 2007 |
An analysis of the economic impacts of the proposed Bitterroot Resort was unveiled last week comparing two different scenarios: a small, private resort built entirely on Tom Maclay’s 29,000-acre ranch and a public four-season destination ski resort set on private and public lands.
ECONorthwest was contracted by the Missoula Area Economic Development Corporation and the Missoula Area Chamber of Commerce to prepare an independent analysis of the economic impacts of a proposed four-season ski and golf resort near Lolo and Florence. The resort’s impacts will affect both Missoula and Ravalli counties.
