In an effort to get more of Idaho’s high school students to go on to college, education chief Tom Luna wants E. Idaho scholarship idea to be statewide

Idaho public education chief Tom Luna says he likes a scholarship plan in eastern Idaho so much he’s going to ask lawmakers for $3.5 million to make it statewide next year.

The Greater Pocatello Chamber of Commerce Education Scholarship Fund is designed to make dual enrollment at Idaho State University more affordable for area high school students.

It’s an effort to get more of them to go on to college.
