Joe McClure resigns from Big Sky EDA-EDC

Joseph McClure, executive director of Big Sky EDA-EDC, announced that he will be leaving Big Sky at the end of November to assume the position of Chief Executive Officer of the new Ernest Health Long Term Acute Care Facility in Billings, which is under the name, Advance Care Hospital of Montana.
The facility is the only freestanding comprehensive long term acute care hospital dedicated to serving Billings and the state of Montana. The 48,000 sq ft. facility will have 40 private beds with a 25 day average length of stay. The hospital is anticipating opening in January 2008.
The Big Sky EDA-EDC Boards will begin a search immediately. Debbie Singer, Chair of the Big Sky Economic Development Authority, stated, “Joe has provided the organization with tremendous leadership, and coalition building. He has brought not only new jobs through recruiting companies such as Bresnan, Ernest Health and GE, but put retention and expansion programs in place to retain and strengthen our existing businesses. He will be very much missed, but we congratulate him on this new opportunity.”
