Idaho State University looking at running E. Idaho hospital

Officials with Idaho State University and the Portneuf Medical Center in eastern Idaho have signed an agreement to look into ways of making the hospital part of the university.
University President Arthur Vailas said the agreement could be the first step toward creating a statewide public health network based in Pocatello.
He also said medical students could start their education at the university, then continue at other hospitals, clinics and schools around the state.
