Montana's first lady encouraging teachers to apply for technology grants by Nov. 1
| October 25, 2007 |
Montana's First Lady, Nancy Schweitzer, is encouraging teachers to apply for grants, designed to improve classroom education through the use of technology.
The Montana Association for Career & Technical Education http://www.montanaacte.org/ is partnering with Qwest to provide financial resources to some deserving instructors. The purpose of the grant is to identify, highlight, and recognize Montana K-12 Career and Tech Educational teachers who are using technology to improve student performance.
The cut-off date for the grant is fast approaching; you have until November 1st to apply. Five teachers will be chosen, each receiving a $5,000 grant. Applicants will be asked to submit a proposal detailing how they will use the funds to support and enhance learning with technology.
