Montana Campus Corps Service Projects Aim to Make a Difference
| October 24, 2007 |
Members of Montana Campus Corps will hold service projects in several communities across the state to celebrate Make a Difference Day on Saturday, Oct. 27.
During the nation’s largest day of service, Campus Corps volunteers will participate in projects in Billings, Bozeman, Butte, Columbia Falls, Havre, Helena, Missoula, Pablo and Wolf Point.
Volunteers will sponsor food drives in Butte and Billings, help out at homeless shelters in Helena and Missoula, improve a daycare facility in Pablo, run an essay contest for middle school students in Havre, work on a Habitat for Humanity house in Columbia Falls and more.
Make a Difference Day, with millions of past participants, was founded by USA Weekend magazine.
Montana Campus Corps is sponsored by the Montana Campus Compact, a consortium of colleges and universities throughout the state committed to renewing the public purposes of higher education. More information is online at http://www.mtcompact.org.
