Web 2.0 Summit wraps up with focus on industry's increasing maturity

WEB 2.0 is the label for Internet companies that live on hype, hope and swelling online audiences.
For years, they have incubated their technologies and made bold promises about changing the world. Now there are signs these youthful ventures are becoming real businesses.
This growing maturity seemed evident this week at the Web 2.0 Summit in San Francisco, where roughly 1,000 Internet executives, entrepreneurs and venture capitalists gave testimony to an online world undergoing rapid change. Firmer footing, many said, means breaking some traditional rules.
