Pharmaceutical giant GlaxoSmithKline http://www.gsk.com/ has moved into a sleepy town in western Montana.
Since GSK purchased the biotech company Corixa two years ago, it's expanded the Hamilton campus to accommodate its pharmaceutical manufacturing and research goals. Thursday, the global company headquartered in Belgium opened the $137 million expansion to the public and touted its economic impact on Hamilton http://www.cityofhamilton.net/ http://www.rceda.org/ and Montana http://mt.gov/ .
After one year of intense construction, the 130,000-square-foot facility is nearly complete. And everybody from Gov. Brian Schweitzer to Hamilton Mayor Jessica Randazzo turned out on a chilly Thursday afternoon for a ribbon cutting.

We need to encourage more medical research in Montana, more expansions of the national health labs, center for disease control, fda. The Billings tech park owners and medical community need to push for this, our Senators need to make it known that such business can flourish in Montana, we have enough retail jobs. --tomas
