Silicon Forest is stunted, Oregon’s wellspring of homegrown technology business is drying up.

A cluster of publicly traded companies that once promised a new era of Oregon innovation and a fountain of high-wage jobs has instead stagnated. Overrun by Asian competition and outfoxed by rivals at home, most never regained their footing after the tech bust early this decade.
