Helena's 'branding' takes shape

The next step in the ongoing process of developing a “brand” for Helena takes place this week, when a Washington consultant discusses the input of more than 100 Helenans and takes a few steps toward defining how the Queen City should market itself to visitors.
Roger Brooks of Olympia-based Destination Development stresses the importance of finding something specific for a community to use for marketing. In an introductory meeting here several months ago, he solicited comments on what people want Helena to be known for, and what elements of the city should be promoted to grow tourism.
