Addressing the Coming Labor Shortage in Montana. (Hey folks, it's already here!!!)

Montana’s population is getting older. Th e number of retirees moving to the state is increasing and the resident population is losing younger generations who leave in search of new opportunities. Over time, greater pressure will be placed on the economy to provide services to the older portion of its population. Th ough increases in capital investments and worker productivity will help to off set a decline in the number of workers, the demand for new workers will still be a source of pressure.

Instead of just producing more charts and graphs about a situation that has been known for many years, (68% of classified employees in Montana's state govt. are eligible for retirement in the next 5 years. This is the highest % in the nation. Finding, keeping tech staff will be challenge - http://www.matr.net/article-16053.html ) here are two excellent efforts to bring back the best and brightest and either connect them with outstanding companies or help them develop their own.
