UW-Madison lands $41 million grant to move research from college to clinics

As part of what is being billed as a major federal initiative to transform the nation’s translational research capabilities, the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s http://www.wisc.edu/ new Institute for Clinical and Translational Research has secured a $41 million grant from the National Institutes of Health http://www.nih.gov/.

The grant, one of the largest federal awards in the history of the UW-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health, should enable the university to find better ways to move biomedical and health sciences discoveries into healthcare providers’ offices, clinics, and hospitals.
