National Youth Survey Shows Montana Leads the Nation in Meth Reduction
The Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the Meth Project http://www.methproject.org , and the Montana Department of Public Instruction today announced the results of Montana's Youth Risk Behavior Survey, which found that Meth use among teens in the state has dropped by nearly 50% since 2005,(i) when the Meth Project first launched its Meth prevention campaign in the state. In contrast, the annual National Survey on Drug Use and Health, released by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services this month, found that Meth use among teens nationally remained unchanged over the same period.(ii)

Meth Project Gets More Funding

Tom Siebel, the founder of the Montana Meth Project, was on Capitol Hill Tuesday.
He's touted the success of the Meth Project in Montana. "Today we're announcing with the Center for Disease Control and the Montana office of Public Instruction that teen meth use in Montana has declined 45% in the last two years," Siebel said.
"There is no precedent for such a decline."
