For nearly a decade, Randy Paynter has been quietly gathering people who want to make a difference.
During that time, Paynter's company, http://www.Care2.com Inc., an online community for green living and social change, has grown to include 7.75 million members and 250 nonprofit partners. The company, which relies on ad sales and sponsorships to generate revenue, grew to $5.9 million last year and has been profitable for the past three years.
