Pleasure to the people - Chef and owner of Scotty’s Table in Missoula offers a personal touch
| September 5, 2007 |
"The ringing of cell phones disrupts the Coq au Vin: Chickens have very sensitive hearing, are enticed by gossip, and highly prone to preoccupations. Please do not cause them undue angst." You’ll find this admonition on the dinner menu at Scotty’s Table http://missoulacvb.visitmt.com/categ ... &siteid=100 , a gentle reminder from owner/proprietor Scott Gill that the Mediterranean-inspired meals he offers should be savored without rude interruptions from the outside world.
It is in keeping with Scott’s philosophy of treating customers graciously, wanting to make their night out feel as though he’s cooking for them in his home. And that is perhaps as it should be, because Scott was brought up in a home where food and cooking were central to life.
