Rocket Science in Butte, Montana. Aero Tec Ready to Launch!
| September 2, 2007 |
Rocket scientists that develop technology to carry military satellites into space might soon start firing their engines in Butte.
Plans to open Aero Tec, a small rocket and specialty jet engine test center, at the former Rhodia Chemical site 10 miles west of Butte are moving forward after months of confusion about environmental liability, and the project’s leaders couldn’t be happier — or more ready.
“We’re to a point where we believe we’re ready to proceed in earnest,” said Dave Micheletti, vice president and senior manager of MSE.
