The Montana Natural History Center receives $800k Grant from the Kendeda Fund

Big grant coming to Missoula non-profit

A non-profit group in Missoula that’s committed to getting kids outside to explore the natural world has picked up a big grant.

Officials with the Montana Natural History Center http://www.montananaturalist.org/ have announced that they’ve received $800,000 from a private foundation. The money will be used to help the center spend more time and money on its outreach programs for Montana children.

Natural History Center / Grant boosts outdoor learning

The Montana Natural History Center’s roots alongside Missoula’s McCormick Park are now a lot deeper, thanks to the generosity of a private foundation.

The Delaware-based Kendeda Fund has awarded the center an $800,000 grant to help offset debt owed on the 14,000-square-foot building at 120 Hickory St.
