Bend Venture Conference 2007 Invites Seed and Early Stage Companies to Pitch Regional Investors

The fourth annual Bend Venture Conference http://www.bendvc.com is now accepting applications for seed and early stage companies to present at this year’s event scheduled for Friday, October 19th, 2007. Companies seeking investment, from regional angel and venture investors, are invited to apply.

Finalists Receive Valuable Coaching

Four companies will be selected to present their business plan to a panel of investors from across the Northwest.

Presenting finalists will receive valuable coaching, from our selection committee, on preparing your business pitch. New This Year: Wild Card Selection and One-Minute Pitches New to BVC this year will be a wild card selection. Up to ten non-finalist companies will give one-minute pitches to the audience, who will then vote for the most compelling business idea.

The winner will join the four finalists in presenting their business plan to our expert panel. Companies not chosen to present will have opportunities to network with an audience of angel investors and experienced institutional investors.

$100,000 Investment Opportunity

Finalists will be competing for an investment worth at least $100,000. The winning company will be announced at the post-conference networking reception.

Keynote Speaker: Guy Kawasaki

This year’s keynote speaker will be Guy Kawasaki, managing director of Garage Technology Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm. http://blog.guykawasaki.com/

• Complete the Executive Summary.

• Complete the Company Overview.

• Submit application fee of $195 (includes one admission to the conference).

Important Dates:

• September 14: Application deadline.

• September 28: Finalists notified; follow up interviews scheduled.

• October 1 - 12: Companies work with Investor Group on diligence and to practice investor presentations.

• Thursday, October 18th: Presenting Companies arrive in Bend and conduct “dry run” of presentations.
