A cinema success story. How filmmaker Regina Crosby found a film career in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho
| August 17, 2007 |
A mental block stands between aspiring filmmakers and their career dreams. A wall developed from the assumption that people from Idaho can't become successful filmmakers. They can't make movies outside Los Angeles and the studio system. They can't obtain the financing or crew to make a quality product.
Regina Crosby once thought that way. A 1987 graduate of Coeur d'Alene High School and a former student at North Idaho College and the University of Idaho, Crosby still had moviemaking in her blood from the beginning.
"I didn't really think that it was a realistic goal for a long time," Crosby said.
