Community-Based Funding Opportunity – 100 Best Communities for Young People
The 100 Best Communities for Young People is an annual competition which recognizes outstanding community-wide efforts that improve the well-being of youth. The competition also inspires other localities to take action to ensure they’re meeting the challenges facing their young people.
What Winning Communities Gain:
* National recognition and media exposure
* Eligibility to participate in post-competition request for proposal process for $300,000 in grant funds
* Opportunities to participate in Regional Forums
* Tools and Alliance support to promote the award locally and to energize and expand support for their efforts
* Exposure to Alliance partner resources and opportunity to participate in technical assistance calls to strengthen local efforts
* Opportunity for community representatives to attend the national 100 Best celebration in Washington, D.C.
To apply online: Applications for the 2008 100 Best competition will be accepted online Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2007, through Friday, Nov. 2, 2007.
