Montana is a state of mind
| August 6, 2007 |
Simplify, simplify. That seems to be the lesson of the last few weeks. Living in New Hampshire's Lakes Region, it is never difficult to find plenty to do — hiking and kayaking, day trips to interesting places, or just hanging out near the water — but "the urge for going" that Tom Rush sings about comes for me sometime between Bike Week and Fourth of July. When the roads become crowded, construction makes travel a nightmare, and late-night noise comes more frequently and goes on longer, thoughts of Montana arise.
