Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty Assumes Leadership Reins of NGA and Launches New Chair's Initiative on Clean Energy
In his first act as NGA Chair, Gov. Pawlenty announced his chair's initiative entitled "Securing a Clean Energy Future" http://www.nga.org/Files/pdf/07PAWLENTYBROCHURE.PDF and distributed the initiative's new brochure.
"America is at a tipping point," remarked Gov. Pawlenty. "Our country is too dependent on imported sources of energy and greenhouse gas emissions continue to grow too quickly. Governors have a tremendous opportunity to lead the country toward a cleaner, more independent, more secure energy future."
