A bit of Microsoft Corp.’s money just got more green.
The company on Monday offered grants for university research in several areas — including $500,000 for work on environmentally sensitive computing.
In addition, Microsoft committed $750,000 over three years to establish a Center For Collaborative Technologies at the University of Washington, which will focus on distance learning technologies and high-tech classrooms.
