1. Kresge Capital Challenge Grant Program

Grants designed to fund an organization’s immediate capital needs and to build its capacity to raise private support for the future. The Kresge Foundation’s mission is to strengthen nonprofit organizations that advance the well-being of humanity.

2. Childhood Agricultural IIlness and Injury

The goal of the NCCRAHS Mini-grant program is to support feasibility and pilot projects in the outreach, prevention/intervention, education, and research areas within NIOSH’s National Center for Childhood Agricultural Injury Prevention. Funds are designated for short-term projects with a maximum duration of 12 months and maximum funding of $15,000. Organizations and individuals throughout the United States are eligible to apply for funds. Funds are allocated to support projects that:

1. Test innovative strategies in the prevention of childhood agricultural illness and injury.
2. Strengthen partnerships between safety professionals, agricultural organizations, and the media.
3. Translate research findings into practical applications.

3. Advancing Recovery: State and Provider Partnerships for Quality Addiction Care – Round Two

Advancing Recovery is an $11-million national program of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation designed for innovative partnerships between provider organizations and single state agencies (SSAs) to promote the use of evidence-based practices (EBPs) by making "system" changes to regulatory, clinical and administrative practices.

Program Area: Vulnerable Populations – supports promising new ideas to help overcome longstanding health challenges for the people in society who bear an excess of the burden of disease.

4. Rural Health Fellows Program

Purpose: The Rural Health Fellows (RHF) program is a year-long, intensive program that will develop leaders who can articulate a clear and compelling vision for rural America.

Fellows will gain valuable insights and build critical skills in three primary domains:
# 1) Personal, team, and organizational leadership;
# 2) Health policy analysis and advocacy;
# 3) National Rural Health Association governance and structure.

These ambitious learning and skill development objectives will be accomplished through a combination experiential and action learning, exposure to premier faculty and seasoned practitioners, and reinforcement through executive coaching and structured team assignments.

USDA Rural Development

Technical and Supervisory Assistance

The Rural Housing Service, an agency under USDA, Rural Development announces it is soliciting competitive applications under its Technical and Supervisory Assistance (TSA) grant program. Grants will be awarded to eligible applicant organizations to conduct programs of technical and supervisory assistance for low-income rural residents to obtain and/or maintain occupancy of adequate housing.

Rural Community Development Initiative (RCDI)

This Notice announces the availability of $6,286,500 of competitive grant funds for the RCDI program through the Rural Housing Service (RHS), an agency within the USDA Rural Development mission area herein referred to as the Agency. Applicants must provide matching funds in an amount at least equal to the Federal grant. These grants will be made to qualified intermediary organizations that will provide financial and technical assistance to recipients to develop their capacity and ability to undertake projects related to housing, community facilities, or community and economic development.
