Director of Idaho lab says staff and funding might grow as more U.S. utilities seek to revive nuclear power
The head of Idaho’s nuclear research lab said global warming concern is one of the reasons nuclear power is poised to make a comeback.
The risks of adversely changing the climate by "dumping" millions of tons per year of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere from power plants burning fossil fuel is many times higher than the risks posed by nuclear power, John Grossenbacher told members of the Boise City Club Monday.
