15 high school seniors from northcentral Montana awarded $20,000 by "GEAR UP"

Several students from some of northcentral Montana’s more impoverished communities have received a major boost in their pursuit of a college education.

Gaining Early Awareness & Readiness for Undergraduate Programs, a division of the Office of the Commissioner of Higher Education known by the acronym Montana GEAR UP http://www.gearup.montana.edu/ , has awarded 15 seniors from high schools across the state $20,000 Montana GEAR UP Pathways scholarships each to attend a university or community college in Montana.
